New Full Time Career!

I gave notice at the Real Estate office and as of September 26th I will be designing and selling my jewelry full time~I am so excited and scared to death at the same time! I am taking a leap of faith and I will make my passion my new full time career. It will take some getting used to, it will be hard to not to get to go to the office everyday. I love my co-workers and I love my office, they are all really sad to see me go, especially my partner Johnny! But they are all so supportive especially my boss Danny. He has been my biggest cheerleader from the beginning, he is always pushing me and encouraging me to believe in myself and my talents(which sometimes I loose track of, like I think a lot of us do) So there you have it, a full time jewelry designer. The best part, I will be taking off September 26th and heading to Cancun with my friend and fellow designer Chelow to sell, sell, sell! I hope to see fellow blogger Lauren while there too! We will then fly into Mexico City and make the rounds there, then we will be off to Cuernavaca and Taxco to sell as well! After the trip I will end up in my boyfriends home town to meet the family, spend some time and attend a wedding of our good friends. I will end up back in Puerto Vallarta sometime around Mid October just in time to prepare for my markets to get started here!

I am also one of 4 artists that will be selling this winter in Chelow Gallery in Sayulita, Nayarit. We are redesiging the gallery and are fortunate enough to be working with the woman who decorated the Four Seasons here in Punta Mita, Nayarit. So yes, I am one busy girl, I am trying to keep my focus and whits about me!!

So the countdown begins, 40 days and game on!!!! In the mean time I better get to work, I have a lot of Jewels to get made before then!!!

Big news!

So the date is set, the decision has been made, the boss was informed...........very soon things in my world will be changing! Stay tuned for the big reveal!!

On a Jet Plane~

I did it, one day early in fact, I delivered my whole sale order to my distributor one day early!! I am so glad to have it done. When I delivered it, she advised me not to take too much time off, I have to have a full line ready for a store here in Puerto Vallarta first week of October and double the order I just did for Cancun in October (this trip I will be going on, Lauren, will you be around 2nd week of October??) I know it sounds a long way off but really it's not!

Today I am packed and just getting ready to shower and head to the airport! I am headed to Washington for 3 glorious weeks~I can't wait~ I will do a trunk show July 9th at Manntiques spend lots of quality time with family and have a blast shopping! Yes there are meetings in Seattle and work too......but I am looking forward to a little down time!!!!

Hurricane take 2~Beatriz

Here we go again....hurricane 2 of the season.......this one is coming close, we are all being warrned to batten down the hatches!!!! Adrian was the first of the season on June 8th, now 12 days later another one..........say a prayer for us! It is starting to rain now.......I'll hopefully have an update later, below is the latest update we got~!

Update: @ 2pm PDT the government of Mexico has extended the hurricane warning from Fortuna to Cabo Corrientes. As of 5am PDT on June 20th, 2011 tropical storm Beatriz was located about 245 miles (395 KM) SSE of Manzanillo, Mexico. According to the National Hurricane Center there is a hurricane warning from Zihuatanejo to La Fortuna.
Hurricane conditions are expected to reach the coast by Monday night or Tuesday morning within the warning region. Subsequently a tropical storm warning has been issued from Fortuna to Cabo Corrientes.
Beatriz is expected to produce 6 to 8 inches of rain on the coasts of Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, and Southwestern Mexico.

Things that make me SAD........

Coming out this morning and finding my car looking like this makes me more than sad. It's true there is no Shangri-La in the world~Even in our paradise. I believe in karma and what goes around comes around........so whoever did this they will get theirs in the end......now I am off to spend some more money to get this fixed.....seems like it's all hitting me at the same time!
