Here we go again....hurricane 2 of the season.......this one is coming close, we are all being warrned to batten down the hatches!!!! Adrian was the first of the season on June 8th, now 12 days later another one..........say a prayer for us! It is starting to rain now.......I'll hopefully have an update later, below is the latest update we got~!
Update: @ 2pm PDT the government of Mexico has extended the hurricane warning from Fortuna to Cabo Corrientes. As of 5am PDT on June 20th, 2011 tropical storm Beatriz was located about 245 miles (395 KM) SSE of Manzanillo, Mexico. According to the National Hurricane Center there is a hurricane warning from Zihuatanejo to La Fortuna.
Hurricane conditions are expected to reach the coast by Monday night or Tuesday morning within the warning region. Subsequently a tropical storm warning has been issued from Fortuna to Cabo Corrientes.
Beatriz is expected to produce 6 to 8 inches of rain on the coasts of Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, and Southwestern Mexico.
